03/15/2009: New Designs from Colour de Verre

Colour de Verre is announcing four, innovative designs that enable people to create lidded, glass boxes. The four new designs are a 3½” Round Box, a 4x5” Rectangular Box, a 6” Elliptical Box, and a 5” Kidney Shaped Box. Each design is $58 and includes two parts: A mold for the base and a mold for the lid. That way, you can cast both the box and the lid in the same firing. These molds can be filled with any size frit, broken billets, or sheet glass. Even glass scraps and tailings yield wonderful results. Embellish the boxes with blossoms and leaves; embed dichroic glass or frit; attach rods, noodles, or stringers; or just leave them them plain.
